Are you ready for a cake that will satisfy your chocolate cravings and perfectly pairs with a cup of coffee or tea? This Parve Marble Cake with Chocolate Chips is perfectly moist with chunks of chocolate. We love ending our Friday night dinner with a freshly baked home made cake and a cup of tea. Not to mention, that whatever is left from the cake gets eaten up Saturday morning with a large cup of coffee.
What I love most about this cake, it takes less than 10 minutes to make, no mixer is need, two bowls, and one pan. I bet you can’t find a more simple home made marble parve cake to bake at home. Oh, and it’s ready in 50 minutes.
Ingredients for layered marble parve cake:
- Flour
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract
- Baking powder
- Baking soda
- Cocoa Powder
- Oil
- Salt
- Water or orange juice (I love using orange juice in any parve cake).
Directions for marble cake:
Whenever, I make this Parve marble cake with chocolate chips (which reminds me, I really need to do a video for this one. Coming soon!) I love measuring all my ingredients or having them on the counter ready to go. This is an easy one bowl mix cake.
Begin with adding all the dry ingredients together in the bowl. Add the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Leave the cocoa powder on the side for now. Make sure to mix all the dry ingredients together and set aside.
In a small bowl add one tablespoon of flour to the chocolate chips and toss to cover the chocolate chips. This will help the chocolate chips not sink to the bottom of the batter while the cake bakes.
Next, in a seperate bowl add the eggs, vanilla extract, oil, and orange juice (or water), mix to combine. Pour the wet ingredients onto the dry ingredients bowl and begin mixing with a whisk until everything is fully incorporated. Add the chocolate chips and fold them into the batter.
Spray the baking pan with baking spray and pour 1/2 of the batter onto the pan. Add the cocoa powder to the rest of the cake batter and mix to combine. Pour on top of the batter. (This time I made the chocolate the bottom or top once flipped, your choice). Bake and enjoy!
