Nutella Banana Bread – Video How To

We all have those bananas that we get at the grocery store that we tell ourselves we will definitely eat. But, with time, they get those black spots. However, instead of throwing these out, you can use them for baking! I had five bananas where I did just this! I waited a couple more days before dreaming about a delicious Banana Bread. Since I did not have chocolate chips, my family and I added Nutella instead. I mean, who can resist a banana and chocolate combo, especially when Nutella is involved? For more of the step-by-step process, scroll down to the video of this awesome Nutella Banana Bread.

I am in love with this cake because the top layer is soft and moist, especially if you add the additional banana on top, as I did at the end. The bottom is a true banana cake. After you let the cake rest and cut a piece, you will see the melted chocolate and the banana bread layer. For extra sweetness, top the banana bread off with a scoop of ice cream and it becomes an even dreamier bite. Also, who does not drool over Nutella? The chocolate, nutty taste is divine and the texture practically melts in your mouth. Now, imagine that combined with banana bread. Say less.

How to Make a Nutella Banana Bread:

To get started making your Nutella Banana Bread, begin by mixing your dry ingredients, which are flour, salt, and baking soda, in a bowl and set to the side. Next, in a mixing bowl, mix your sugar and butter together. Add one egg at a time, a total of two eggs, and make sure to mix well after each egg is added. Following this, add your milk and vanilla extract and mix them together well. Now, add your dry ingredients and mix until they are combined very well.

Now, you are ready to move on. So, grease your pan and pour your batter into a 9×5 loaf pan. Keep about one-third of a cup on the side. In a bowl, add the Nutella and about 2 tbsps of hot water. Mix the Nutella with the hot water to melt it a little. Add the one-third cup batter to the Nutella mix. Then, pour the new batter into the banana bread batter in the pan. With your spatula, make s shapes to bring down the batter.

Here, you have an option to top off your batter with a banana cut in half (long edge). This adds an extra banana and even more texture to this bread. Finally, place the batter in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for an hour to an hour and a half. Use the toothpick test to see if your banana bread is ready. Now, you are ready to enjoy this delicious treat!
