These muffins are on the top of my favorite muffin list. However, my second favorite is the Sour Cream Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins, hands down, without a doubt. There is just something magical and pure about personal muffins that are baked to perfection. The Peach Crumble Muffins are just like having your own mini, personal cake in the morning! They are the ideal muffin: they are moist, you get the sweet crumble pieces, and you even get to enjoy some fresh fruit. What could be better or sweeter than this jam-packed muffin? Ingredients for the Divine Peach Crumble Muffins:

Aside from the fresh peaches, all the ingredients for these muffins are most likely already sitting in your kitchen, just waiting to be used to make this delicious treat. Here is exactly what you need to bake these Peach Crumble Muffins.

  • All-purpose Flour
  • Brown Sugar
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Butter
  • Baking Powder
  • Baking Soda
  • Salt
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Milk
  • Peaches

Here are a few substitutes you can use instead of the peaches if you are in the mood for a different sweet, fruity component:

  • Apples
  • Apricots
  • Nectarines
  • Strawberries

One of my favorite things about baking in general is making recipes my own. In this instance, feel free to get creative with your fruit choices, even though I remain loyal to my peaches!

In my opinion, peaches are in season in the summer. So, now is the perfect time to explore different peach treats and dishes. To each baker their own!

As you begin making these delicious muffins, the aroma in the room is going to be impossible to resist. You will be ready to start eating as soon as you start preparing! Also, on an aesthetic note, I love to use muffin liners that are made with parchment paper for a bakery feel and look to my dish. All your Instagram followers will be drooling over your content and the muffins.

Steps to Bake the Amazing Peach Crumble Muffins:

To begin making your Peach Crumble Muffins, first kick off the process by making the crumble topping. Making the crumble first makes it easy to top once the muffins are ready to go in the oven to start baking. Plus, there will be less time for the peaches to sink down the muffin batter. It is a win-win!

Another Great Tip: Toss the peach chunks in flour before folding them into the muffin batter. These will ensure that the peaches stay in place and do not sink down to the bottom of the batter.

Moreover, you can use any remaining peach pieces to place on the side and snack on later. You can truly never have too much fresh fruit — especially in the summer time!

Optional Muffin Toppings: You can still add some extra sweetness to your Peach Crumble Muffins. Once the muffins have cooled down, add a classic icing to top the muffins for an added flavor and texture. I simply mix powdered sugar with either water or milk to make a semi-thick icing to create the perfect icing swirls. You are making this sweet, amazing dish even sweeter and yummier! My fellow sweet-toothed people reading this understand this appeal.

Description

These Peach Crumble Muffins are the perfect little bite with tons of flavor packed in. They are moist and filled with fresh-cut peach chunks, and topped with a buttery flavorful crumb.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crumble:

  • 1 cup of All-purpose Flour (sifted)
  • 1/2 cup of Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Diced Unsalted Butter

For the Muffins:

  • 2 cups of All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp of Baking Soda
  • 3/4 cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of Salt
  • 1/2 cup of Unsalted Butter
  • 3/4 cup of Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp of Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 34 Peaches, cut into cubes

Instructions

Crumble:

  1. In a bowl, combine all the crumble ingredients: flour, the sugars, and butter. Using a fork, combine the butter with the rest of the ingredients. Use your fingers to break the butter further if needed. Repeat until you reach a crumble.  Set aside.

Muffins:

  1. Preheat the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line your muffin tin with the muffin liners.
  3. In a large bowl add flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. Mix with a spoon to combine all the ingredients.
  4. In a saucepan or in the microwave, melt the butter, set aside to cool.
  5. Cut the peaches into cubes and set aside in a small bowl.
  6. In a mixer bowl with the paddle attachment, add the wet ingredients: yogurt, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix them until well they are combined.
  7. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  8. Add about 1 tablespoon of flour to the peaches and toss or mix in the bowl until they are all covered.
  9. Add the peaches to the muffin batter and fold them in, until they are well combined.
  10. Using an ice scooper or cookie scooper, place the batter into the muffin liners evenly. I start with one scoop in each and divide the rest of the batter evenly.
  11. Top each muffin with the crumble that set on the side.
  12. Bake the muffins for 10 minutes on 425 degrees, lower to 350 degrees for an additional 10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  13. Take out of the oven, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Optional: Top each muffin with icing swirls by mixing 1 cup powdered sugar and 2-3 tables spoons of water or milk.
