Description

Nutella Hamentashen for any chocolate lover with easy to follow recipe and ready under 2.5 hours. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2/3 Cups white sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 Cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 3/4 Cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. In your mixer bowl add the butter and sugar and mix on high for 2-4 minutes until light and creamy. Scrapes the sides as needed.
  2. Add the vanilla and egg and mix until well combined. On medium.
  3. Next, switch to your dough paddle and slowly add your flour and salt. Mix on low until the dough becomes a ball (scrape as needed).
  4. Transfer the dough onto a bowl and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes let the dough sit on the counter for five minutes and knead into a ball. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness, between two sheets of parchment paper. Use a circular cookie cutter or a cup, cut the dough into circles.
  6. Place a full teaspoon Nutella filling in the middle of the circle. Next, pinch one edge and pinch the other two corners, to create a triangle. Place on parchment paper and place in the freezer for one hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350 F, bake until bottoms are browned, 25 minutes. Let cool completely.
